Role Overview
The Occupational Therapist Assistant provides occupational therapy to patients in their homes, aiming to restore their physical abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow state laws and treatment plans set by supervising OT
- Instruct and assist patients with evidence-based therapies
- Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes
- Educate patients, families, caregivers, and health team members
- Function effectively in diverse home environments, regardless of patient background
Qualifications & Skills
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, or access to transportation
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- Preferred: CPR certification, multitasking, independence, strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
