Occupational Therapist Acute Care

Qualifications

• Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups.
• Required Education: Bachelor's degree.
• Specific course work: Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Necessary Skills:
  • Knowledge of Occupational Therapy theory, procedures, practices and equipment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proactive, positive approach to problem solving.
  • Thorough knowledge of possible hazards/necessary precautions/remedial measures in the treatment and care of patients.
  • Ability to assess and implement a treatment programs for simple and complex therapy diagnoses.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite.
• Required Licensure/Certifications: Current Florida Occupational Therapy license. BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred Education: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Preferred Experience: Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation services. Splinting/orthotic fabrication is preferred.
• Required Experience: Less than one year clinical experience in area of job opening (e.g. acute, outpatient, etc.).
