Occupational Ther PRN Plan 2 (Inpatient Rehab)
About the Role
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for utilizing purposeful activities or interventions to achieve functional outcomes, maximizing the independence and maintenance of health of individuals limited by physical injury or illness, cognitive impairment, psychosocial dysfunction, mental illness, developmental or learning disabilities, or adverse environmental conditions. This role involves assessing patients, identifying the level of acuity of illness, planning and implementing treatment programs, and directing patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients to determine their level of acuity and specific needs.
- Plan and develop individualized treatment programs.
- Implement and direct therapeutic interventions to achieve functional outcomes.
- Maximize patient independence and maintenance of health through purposeful activities.
Requirements
- For employees assigned to the dedicated orthopedic team: Successful completion of Annual Orthopedic education requirements upon hire and then annually as outlined in the Orthopedic Program(s) Education plan.
- Florida Occupational Therapist license (FL OT).
Qualifications
Required
- Florida Occupational Therapist license.
Preferred
- Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
