Occupational Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

The Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for performing Surveillance exams, evaluating and treating occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, managing acute medical conditions within Nurse Practitioner scope of practice, and managing electronic medical records.

Requirements

• Minimum Educational Requirements: Master’s degree in Nursing and passed the NCLEX-RN examination
• Active Tennessee Nurse Practitioner Licensure
• Certificate in good standing
• Certification with a nationally accredited affiliation
• Current DOT Medical Examiner Certification strongly preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of professional Nurse Practitioner experience
• Experience working in an Occupational Health Clinic preferred
• Experience with performing OSHA surveillance exams preferred
• Evaluating patients for return to work and work readiness
• Proven experience treating acute illnesses/injuries and chronic disease management
• Developing safety plans for the work environment
