About the role
We are seeking a true Occupational Health physician to support a major manufacturing facility in DFW as Medical Director, focused on employee safety, injury prevention, and return-to-work readiness.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical oversight and consultation to employees regarding work-related injuries and illnesses
- Develop and implement injury prevention programs
- Coordinate with HR and management to facilitate return-to-work processes
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and regulations
- Conduct periodic health screenings and assessments
Requirements
- MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Occupational Medicine
- At least 5 years of relevant clinical experience in occupational medicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Qualifications
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and health
- Experience with ergonomic evaluations and risk assessment
- Familiarity with workers' compensation claims process
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices
Skills
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Pay
$135/hr
Schedule
Full-time, stable daytime hours, no weekends, and no oncall
