About the job
Provides direct and indirect care with emphasis on employee health. Utilizes established protocols and current standards of care to meet the wide variety of health care needs of the Marathon Health population. Duties include collecting and ordering lab tests, reviewing immunization and disease status, preparing and administering injections and vaccinations, phlebotomy, and wound care.
- Collects and reviews medical histories.
- Prepares patients for examinations.
- Relays urgent requests and emergencies to the provider.
- Covers immunization status of new hire employees.
- Coordinates ordering of lab tests and immunizations when needed.
- Tracks compliance with initial and annual employee health requirements.
- Collects and records vital signs accurately.
- Immediately addresses emergency health risks with the provider.
- Aids in examinations.
- Follows up on abnormal tuberculosis testing.
- Aids in triage and monitoring of employees with contagious illnesses or exposures.
- Enters accurate data into contact tracing and medical data tracking systems.
- Aids in triage and monitoring of employees with work injuries.
- Aids in triage and follow-up of ambassadors with bloodborne pathogen exposures.
- Aids in N95/KN95 mask fit testing and tracking.
- Aids in maintaining employee health documents.
- Aids in absence management for non-work-related conditions.
- Aids in examinations.
- Performs phlebotomy and Point of Care Diagnostic Tests.
- Collects and prepares laboratory specimens and paperwork.
- Prepares medications, including injections and vaccinations.
- Transmits prescription refills as directed.
- Performs phlebotomy and point of care testing.
- Carries out orders for patient care.
- Provides outstanding customer service and overall concern for patient wellbeing and safety.
- Educates patients on disease processes and medications.
- Fulfills orders from the provider.
- Maintains accurate inventory of medical and general supplies.
- Ensures medical storage systems are well organized, labeled, safe, and sanitary.
- Partners with providers, clients, and other departments within Marathon Health.
- Supports immunization clinics, employee wellness programs, and promotions.
- Manages general office procedures, handles confidential files, operates general administrative office equipment.
- Welcomes patients, answers phones and voice mail, schedules appointments, handles correspondence and confidential files, manages office and medical literature and brochures, ensures presentation is professional in appearance, up-to-date, and according to Marathon Health branding standards.
- Maintains a pleasant environment, meets MH branding, safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards to the highest quality.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in nursing, bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred and 3+ years of healthcare experience required including phlebotomy, point of care testing, and wound care.
- Current Registered Nurse Certification and active license required.
- Phlebotomy Certification, and CPR/BLS are required.
- Occupational health certification preferred.
- Prior experience with occupational health strongly preferred.
- Electronic medical record (EMR) experience required.

Pay Range
$72,000 - $94,000/yr. The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate’s years of experience and/or skill level.
