About the Role

Dedicated to the care of BHSF employees, the Occupational (Occ) Health RN 1 works in either the Occupational Health Office or the Pre-Employment Services departments. This RN documents the nursing process in care management via assessment, diagnoses and treatments resulting from workplace injuries and illness.

Responsibilities

• Administering post hire screenings
• Participating in drug free workplace protocols
• Ensuring hospital employees are free of communicable diseases
• Conducting mandatory annual Tuberculosis surveillance
• Providing immunizations
• Performing phlebotomy procedures
• Managing clinical follow-up to blood and/or body fluid exposures
• Returning injured/ill employees to work
• Evaluating work restrictions and ADA accommodations in concert with Disability Management
• Utilizing Telehealth modalities when appropriate
• Maintaining scientific, regulatory and business knowledge appropriate to Occ Health

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN). RNs hired or transferring with an Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) will have 3 years to complete BSN degree.
• Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessment, phlebotomy, verbal and written communication skills
• Five years of recent acute care experience, preferably in the Emergency Department, Urgent Care or ICU

Licenses & Certifications

• Basic Life Support
• Registered Nurse

Pay

Estimated pay range for this position is $36.55 - $48.61 / hour depending on experience.
