About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care, injury and illness management, medical surveillance, wellness initiatives, episodic convenience care, and assists with other occupational and environmental health services in a professional, patient-centered occupational setting.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site treatment and management of injuries to minimize off-site medical treatment needs.
- Deliver on-site care, first aid, and follow-up for occupationally injured or ill workers.
- Maintain ongoing communication with treating physicians regarding employee clinical status.
- Coordinate care with WorkCare’s Incident Intervention Injury Management Program and utilize Physician escalation services as needed.
- Provide episodic care for minor medical issues, medical consultation, and recommendations per treatment care guidelines in collaboration with WorkCare’s Consulting Medical Director (CMD) and policies/procedures.
- Support injury prevention through education and ergonomic evaluations.
- Help employees prevent injuries and manage pain.
- Report to client and WorkCare management periodically.
- Contribute insight to incident reports and track injury and clinic utilization data.
- Order and maintain clinic supplies to ensure appropriate stock levels.
- Participate in the general flow of clinic operations.
- Provide doses of common pre-packaged over-the-counter (OTC) medicine for episodic care at no cost to employees, with follow-up care provided by the employee’s personal medical provider.
- Perform additional duties and assume responsibilities as identified by management for efficient clinic operation.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid Idaho RN license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is highly preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
- 3–5 years of RN experience required.
- 2–3 years of experience in urgent care, emergency department, or occupational health setting preferred.
- Certification in Occupational Health preferred.

Physical Demands
- Requires sitting for long periods and working at a desk.
- Ability to work under stressful and sometimes unpredictable situations.
- Manual dexterity for handling medical equipment, performing procedures, and using a computer keyboard.
- Use of hands/fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch; some bending and stretching may be required.
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to kneel and perform chest compressions for CPR.
- Daily walking to and from the parking lot to the clinic; may navigate uneven walkways and terrain due to construction sites.
- May drive an emergency vehicle within the site when responding to an accident.
Work Environment
- Mainly indoor, office environment with moderate noise levels.
- Good air quality and controlled temperature.
Pay
Hourly pay range: $48 - $52 per hour. Final compensation depends on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
