Job Duties
- Provide on-site services at one location in El Paso, Texas.
- Provide ethical, evidence-based medical services to the clients’ employees both onsite and in virtual evaluations while working within the recommendations of the Medical Director.
- Completion of timely and accurate electronic and non-electronic documentation.
- Perform phlebotomy and collect urine samples as necessary.
- Perform and/or coordinate New Hire physical examinations.
- Provide onsite first aid and wellness screening.
- Provide case management and return-to-work services.
- Administer and document annual vaccinations, spirometry, audiograms, drug & alcohol testing, biometrics, and medical questionnaires.
- Cohort assessment, treatment planning, and return to work processes with the employee, providers, and employer.
- Assess and educate patients on medication lists, illnesses, medical history, injury prevention methods, and test results.
- Survey work environments for hazards.
- Maintain all state and federal-required licenses and professional scope of practice.
- Compliance with and detailed understanding of HIPAA and Patient Privacy Act.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license in good standing in the applicable working state(s).
- Current certification in CPR / BLS for health care providers.
- 1 or more years of experience in Occupational Health, Primary Care, Outpatient, or Urgent Care.
- Demonstrated computer skills and ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and work-flow management skills.
- NIOSH Spirometry Training and Certification may be required.
- Current COHN certification or ability to obtain certification within the first 3 years of employment.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of on-site work needs; ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds, frequent standing, walking, sitting, squatting; reasonable accommodations will be considered.
