About the role
Provide occupational health services to the site population, including first aid response, management of employee injuries and illnesses, workers' compensation cases, medical surveillance programs, and related protocols, logs, and screenings.
Coordinate corporate occupational health and safety programs, conduct employee training, and participate in site teams and emergency response efforts. Collaborate with Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) and HR staff, as well as site employees, managers, and supervisors to reduce workers' compensation costs through effective case management and prevention programs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational health services, including treatment and first aid response.
- Manage employee injuries, illnesses, and workers' compensation cases.
- Oversee medical surveillance programs, protocols, logs, and screenings.
- Manage all medical supplies for the site.
- Coordinate corporate occupational health and safety programs.
- Conduct applicable employee training and participate in site teams and emergency response.
- Collaborate with Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) and HR staff.
- Work closely with site employees, managers, and supervisors.
- Implement programs to reduce workers' compensation costs through case management, return-to-work initiatives, and prevention strategies.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in occupational health nursing.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Current RN license from the state of California.
