About the role
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse II to join a well-known client’s team onsite in Westfield, Indiana. This role supports employee health and wellness initiatives while providing occupational health services in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive healthcare professional with strong clinical judgment, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to workplace safety and employee well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational health services for employees, including first aid, injury assessment, and treatment of work-related illnesses and injuries.
- Respond to workplace medical emergencies and coordinate follow-up care as needed.
- Manage employee injury and illness cases, including workers' compensation administration and case management activities.
- Coordinate return-to-work programs and support efforts to reduce workplace injury costs and lost-time incidents.
- Administer and support medical surveillance programs, screenings, and occupational health protocols.
- Conduct employee health assessments, including vision and eye examinations as required.
- Maintain occupational health records, logs, and documentation in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Manage medical supplies, equipment, and inventory for the occupational health clinic.
- Support emergency preparedness and participate in site emergency response teams.
- Partner with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Human Resources, managers, and supervisors to promote workplace safety and employee wellness.
- Deliver employee training related to occupational health, wellness, and safety initiatives.
- Participate in cross-functional teams and support continuous improvement efforts related to employee health programs.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of nursing experience, preferably in occupational health, employee health, manufacturing, industrial, or workplace health settings.
- Experience managing workplace injuries, illness cases, and workers' compensation programs.
- Experience responding to medical emergencies and providing first aid in a workplace environment.
- Experience conducting vision screenings or eye examinations preferred.
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
