About the role

As a CBRE Occupancy Planning Director, you will direct the department in the achievement of strategic goals and occupancy planning deliverables for a client. This position involves building and leading an Occupancy Planning team and program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees, including tracking training and development, conducting performance evaluations, and mentoring.
  • Lead all aspects of recruiting and hiring new employees.
  • Coordinate and supervise the team's daily activities, including establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff.
  • Set and track staff and department deadlines; mentor and coach as needed.
  • Establish performance objectives and deliverables related to department goals and objectives.
  • Develop, install, and maintain key processes for team efficiencies.
  • Coordinate with the line of business platform, including subject area, geographic resources, and experts to support client needs.
  • Manage and achieve financial, operational, and other measures as defined in deliverables and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast and develop annual real estate plans and strategies for achieving savings and cost avoidance goals.
  • Conduct periodic interviews with business units and client leaders to identify future business direction related to growth, labor, market changes, and other issues impacting real estate requirements.
  • Develop a five-year real estate plan and create benchmarks to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Apply robust knowledge of multiple subject areas, the business, and key drivers impacting departmental and cross-functional performance.
  • Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Persuade managers and colleagues to take action aligned with the organization’s functional business plans.
  • Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers to reach common goals.
  • Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex operational and organizational problems using appropriate resources.
  • Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job discipline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets with a direct impact on department results.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay

The minimum salary for this position is $150,000 annually, and the maximum salary is $170,000 annually. Compensation will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
