Obstetrics Technician (OB Tech) - Obstetrics

Role: Obstetrics Technician (OB Tech) responsible for assisting in patient care within the birthing unit, serving as scrub technician for Cesarean Sections and OB/GYN procedures. Responsibilities Restock and prepare rooms, including birthing areas, nursery, and operating rooms.Handle and count surgical instruments, sponges, and sharps to ensure safety and aseptic technique.Assist in ordering, caring for, and maintaining sterile and unsterile supplies and equipment.Support the surgical team with patient positioning and transport.React appropriately during patient care emergencies and assist with activities of daily living to promote hygiene, comfort, and safety.Obtain and document vital signs and other measurements, and utilize computer systems for documentation.Maintain equipment and respond to patient and family needs promptly. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; LPN license or completion of OR Technician Program required.Experience in patient care and scrub role preferred.Knowledge of surgical aseptic techniques and OR procedures preferred.BLS certification required (can be obtained after hire).Effective communication, teamwork, emergency response, and basic math skills essential.
