Obstetrics Technician (OB Tech) - Obstetrics

Role: Obstetrics Technician (OB Tech) responsible for assisting nursing staff in patient care within the Birthing Suite, nursery, and operating rooms. Key Responsibilities Restock and prepare rooms and supplies in clinical environments.Serve as scrub technician for Cesarean Sections and OB/GYN procedures, handling instruments and sponges.Assist in maintaining sterile supplies, equipment, and routine/emergency medical devices.React appropriately during patient care emergencies and support patient activities of daily living.Transport patients, assist with positioning during surgeries, and support the surgical team.Obtain and document vital signs and measurements, and utilize computer systems per protocols.Respond swiftly to patient and family needs, ensuring a safe and resource-efficient environment. Qualifications & Skills High School diploma or GED; LPN license or completion of OR Technician program required.Preferred experience in patient care and scrub roles.Knowledge of surgical aseptic techniques and OR procedures preferred.BLS certification required (can be obtained after hire).Effective communication skills, ability to recognize emergencies, and basic math skills.
