Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, including routine check-ups, preventive care, and labor and delivery.
• Provide contraceptive care and effectively communicate and provide care regarding menopause.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, and manage acute and chronic gynecologic issues.
• Collaborate with a highly skilled and supportive team of nurses, medical assistants, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and OB hospitalists.
• Take over a practice from a well-known physician and be busy day 1.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in women's health care across the lifespan: assessment, intervention and patient care management.
• Knowledgeable regarding an Obstetrics/Gynecologist scope of practice.
• Experience performing and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Experience with laborist work, low & high-risk obstetrics.
• Fellow or certification from American Congress of Obstetrician and Gynecologist (ACOG).
• Leadership abilities.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, and conflict resolution abilities.
• Independent performer.

Qualifications

• Current California Medical license.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical School.
• Graduate from an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program.
• Graduate from an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology Fellowship program.
• One to Three (1-3) years previous OB/GYN Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• Evidence of continuing education and self-development to support license requirements.
• Board certified or board eligible from The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABO+G).
