Obstetrician/Gynecologist - Locum Tenens Inpatient Coverage

About the role

This inpatient obstetric and gynecologic position requires providing 24-hour call coverage in a hospital setting. The hospital manages approximately 1,000 deliveries annually, with a team comprising a physician and midwife present 24/7 under a midwife model.

The role involves maintaining clinical privileges, prescribing authority, and ensuring continuous patient care during assigned shifts. The facility does not perform terminations but handles miscarriages on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage inpatient obstetric and gynecologic cases
• Cover the emergency room
• Perform circumcisions (preferred)
• Conduct D&C procedures for miscarriages

Qualifications

Qualifications are negotiable regarding board certification. Ideal candidates will have the ability to work independently during call shifts and support inpatient obstetric and gynecologic services in a busy, well-staffed hospital setting.
