About the Role
This is a locum tenens position for a Medical Doctor (MD) providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic services in an inpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform obstetric and gynecologic procedures
- Manage approximately 600 deliveries annually
- Provide backup and oversight for OB residents during shifts
- Provide obstetric and gynecologic care
- Perform OBED within 30 minutes
- Maintain continuous availability for emergencies
Work Environment
The clinician will work primarily in a facility equipped with:
- 8 labor and delivery rooms
- Level IV nursery
- 24/7 anesthesia
- Onsite MFM specialists
Documentation is handled via the EPIC EMR system. Support staff includes OB residents, with continuous anesthesia and MFM support.
Requirements
- Board certification is negotiable
- Prescriptive authority
- Availability for emergency coverage
- Experience in obstetrics and gynecology
Schedule
The position involves a mix of day and weekend shifts, including 24-hour call duties.
