Obstetrical Technician

About the role

Cottage Health is seeking an Obstetrical Technical to join the Birth Center department. The role involves maintaining sterile instruments and equipment, assisting in product training, managing supplies, and processing requisitions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper levels of inventory and procure supplies for the Birth Center and Antepartum rooms.
• Decontaminate, sort, process, and inventory surgical instruments and special equipment.
• Check for and remove expired supplies.
• Request equipment and monitor repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Completion of surgical tech training course.
• Minimum: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Technical Requirements: Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.

Pay

Pay for non-physician positions is determined based on related years of experience and internal equity. Eligible employees may also receive additional forms of compensation, including shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonus opportunities, where applicable.
