About the role
We are seeking a fellowship-trained Obstetric Anesthesiologist for a full-time faculty role in a leading academic health science center.
Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality anesthetic care at a state-of-the-art Women’s and Children’s Hospital and other clinical sites
- Supervising and mentoring Residents and CRNAs
- Engaging in medical student and resident education through bedside teaching, didactics, simulation, and workshops
- Participating in departmental and institutional committees
- Maintaining scholarly activity and staying current with advances in anesthesiology
- Voluntary call coverage during weekdays and weekends
Qualifications
- MD, DO, or international equivalent
- Completion of 48 months of Anesthesiology Residency or equivalent
- Board certified or eligible in Anesthesiology
- Eligible for a Texas Medical License and DEA registration
- ACLS certified or in certification process
Benefits
- Starting base salary around $408,000, with potential total compensation of $459,000–$537,000
- Additional pay for call and extended shifts, home call stipends
