Accountabilities

The Observational Research Senior Manager will lead the planning, execution, and communication of real-world evidence initiatives, partnering with scientific and business stakeholders to advance research strategies and generate actionable insights. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the design, execution, analysis, and delivery of observational research studies supporting evidence generation for pipeline and marketed therapies.
  • Develop and implement innovative analytical approaches, research methods, and tools that enable efficient, scalable, and reproducible real-world evidence generation.
  • Utilize real-world data sources and advanced analytical strategies to inform high-value business and scientific decisions.
  • Support disease epidemiology research, including disease burden, natural history, treatment patterns, and medication safety evaluations.
  • Build strong collaborations with internal teams and external partners to promote awareness and effective use of observational research methodologies.
  • Communicate complex scientific findings and research insights to diverse audiences through presentations, reports, and strategic discussions.
  • Manage observational research projects, ensuring quality, timelines, and alignment with scientific objectives.
  • Contribute expertise in inflammation-related therapeutic areas and support research initiatives that address unmet medical needs.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in epidemiology, observational research, and real-world evidence generation, along with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Required qualifications and skills include:

  • Doctorate degree with at least 2 years of related epidemiology and research experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of related scientific research experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related experience.
  • Advanced degree in Epidemiology or a related field with significant observational research focus preferred.
  • Experience designing, executing, and analyzing observational research studies within pharmaceutical, healthcare, or public health environments.
  • Experience supporting drug development programs through real-world evidence and scientific research.
  • Knowledge of secondary data sources, including administrative claims, electronic medical records, and patient registries.
  • Strong project planning, organizational, and research management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage scientific and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in dermatology research, inflammation, or related therapeutic areas is preferred.
