ObGyn Physician

About the role

The ObGyn Physician will join the growing Graduate Medical Education (GME) team at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel, a 193-bed hospital in central Florida. The GME program started in July 2024 with 8 residents per program year. The position involves full-time work with a split schedule of resident supervision, personal clinical duties, and administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Program Director on program accreditation, resident recruitment, rotation scheduling, curriculum development, and resident coaching.
• Serve as a member of the program evaluation committee and clinical competency committee.
• Perform additional academic and clinical duties as assigned by the program director.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Model professionalism for residents, medical students, and clinical staff.
• Possess excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the EPIC EMR.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or without US residency with current US work visa.

Qualifications

• Strong emphasis on evidence-based medicine with a focus on patient-centered care.
• Experience in academic medicine.
• Excellent communication skills.

Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EPIC EMR.
