ObesityForecasting, Associate Director
About the role
The Obesity Forecasting Associate Director will lead forecasting for the Obesity brand. This role reports to the Obesity Forecasting Director within the Obesity Intelligence & Analytics organization in Thousand Oaks, United States.
Responsibilities
- Provide an objective and rigorous point of view to demand forecasting and product performance, while collaborating with disciplines including forecasting/insights, marketing, finance, value and access and other functions.
- Led the development of the obesity forecasts and ad-hoc forecasting requests.
- Supports the Quarterly Business Review, Situation Analysis, and Brand Plan by providing objective, data-driven insights.
- Coordinate with marketing, finance, and other cross-functional teams to develop analytics and forecasting inputs and assumptions.
- Independently lead quick turnaround projects and deliver quality assessments, collaborating with Senior Leadership with limited guidance or oversight.
- Manage professional relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Demonstrate strong project management, prioritization, and timeline execution across projects when working independently as well as when working with the vendors or internal teams.

Requirements
- Doctorate degree and 3 years of analytics and/or forecasting experience OR Masters degree and 5 years of analytics and/or forecasting experience OR Bachelors degree and 7 years of analytics and/or forecasting experience OR Associates degree and 12 years of analytics and/or forecasting experience OR High school diploma / GED and 14 years of analytics and/or forecasting experience.
Qualifications
- Experience with advanced spreadsheets, patient based forecast modeling including dynamic patient models, and common forecasting tools such as Forecast Pro.
- Proficiency in SQL, and experience working with analytics tools like SAS, or R.
- Experience in developing marketing analytics using visualization tools such as Tableau.
- Working knowledge of forecasting inputs and structure, global access and reimbursement policies, and competitive environment and potential impact on product development and commercialization strategy.
- Strong oral, written and presentation skills; able to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences.
- Strong project management skills able to organize and complete multiple projects efficiently and on time.
- Demonstrated analytical skills combined with a client service orientation.
- Able to work collaboratively in team-based environment.
- Broad, working knowledge of commonly used biopharmaceutical industry databases.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically to support key business decisions.
