Assists the nurse in providing care to mother and infant during labor and post-delivery. Responsible for stocking rooms, cleaning and checking equipment, and other assigned duties. Provides surgical assistance to the obstetrician during C-sections and tubal ligations. Care is directed by the RN and within the OBT's performance standards. Ability to provide care, observe, obtain information, understand treatment needs, and report findings to ensure appropriate care for neonates, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and report significant findings to appropriate caregivers

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience as a CNA
  • Maryland CNA license required
  • AHA BLS Provider CPR Card

Pay

$22.66 to $39.12 per hour, based on experience
