OB Surg Tech - Days

Responsibilities

• Handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during obstetrical operations in the Operating Room.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon performing the procedure.
• Ensures quality patient care during the operative procedure.
• Maintains the sterile field at all times.
• Performs patient care duties under the direction of a registered nurse.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Minimum Experience: Graduate from a Surgical Technologist training program or 1 year previous operating room experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist or 3 years of experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting.
• Licensure/Certification: BCLS - Basic Life Support upon hire required; NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation preferred.
