OB/PEDS Clinical Faculty

About the Role

Jersey College is seeking Registered Nurse Instructors with a passion for teaching to join our Nursing Program as Adjunct Clinical Instructors in OB/PEDS. This role involves providing clinical instruction and fostering student growth in long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a clinical environment that fosters students' academic growth and guides their professional development.
• Prepare student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
• Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
• Implement evaluation devices to measure student learning and clinical experience progress and competency.
• Attend faculty meetings.
• Maintain professional qualifications through continuing education, in-service training, and academic courses.
• Perform other duties as required by the program director, program dean, or campus administration.

Requirements

• Valid State RN License.
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) required.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in the area of nursing specialty (OB/PEDS).
• Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse that will contribute to student learning.
