OB/GYN Physician - Locum Coverage

About the Role

This position requires a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist (OB-GYN) to provide comprehensive inpatient care at a Level I trauma center.

Responsibilities

• Manage labor and delivery cases, perform emergency cesarean sections and gynecologic procedures.
• Provide 24-hour in-house call coverage, ensuring continuous patient care during shifts.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare team to deliver high-quality maternal and neonatal care.
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation of patient care.

Requirements

• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Ability to handle full scope OB-GYN practice, including emergencies.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Additional Details

The role involves variable case loads, on-site support staff, and adult patient care. It requires maintaining availability during 24-hour call periods to ensure patient safety and care excellence.
