OB/GYN Physician Leader, Complex Family Planning

Role Overview

Seeking a full-time physician leader in Complex Family Planning to develop and oversee a reproductive health program. The role involves expanding access to advanced contraception, high-risk family planning, and evidence-based abortion care, with a focus on program development, quality improvement, and system integration.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide advanced contraceptive care, including LARC methods.
• Manage complex patients requiring personalized contraception planning.
• Deliver high-risk family planning consultations and collaborate with subspecialties.
• Offer preconception, interpregnancy counseling, and pregnancy options counseling.
• Partner with clinics for STI screening, treatment, and contraception services.

Program & System Development

• Create policies for medical and surgical abortion services and ensure clinical guideline consistency.
• Develop internal competency and partner with pharmacy for medication workflows.
• Establish community partnerships and referral pathways for complex cases.

Hospital & Administrative Duties

• Participate in OB hospitalist shifts and gynecology call as needed.
• Lead program development, standardize protocols, and support provider education.

Qualifications & Skills

• MD/DO with board certification/eligibility in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Experience in complex contraception, high-risk family planning, and abortion care.
• Leadership in program development and quality improvement.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Eligible for California medical licensure.
