About The Role
Community Health Centers, Inc. (CHC) is seeking an experienced OB/GYN Physician to provide hospital-based labor and delivery coverage on an independent contractor (1099) basis. This opportunity does not create an employment relationship and is not offered through an agency. This is a hospital-based, professional services role only and does not include outpatient clinic responsibilities. CHC is a federally qualified health center. All deliveries occur at AdventHealth Orlando.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional medical services to CHC obstetric and gynecology patients who present to the hospital, including rounding and delivery care.
- Occasional emergent surgical procedures may be required.
- Backup assistance is available through an onsite hospitalist group.
- Schedule 24-hour hospital coverage periods (8:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.).
- Up to 5 hospitals 5–24-hour calls or 10- 12 hours hospital call shifts per month.
- Coverage dates are established by mutual agreement and based on patient care needs.
Qualifications
- MD or DO with completed OB/GYN training.
- Recent labor and delivery experience.
- Active, unrestricted Florida medical license.
- Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges.
- Professional, dependable, and patient-focused.
- Board eligible or Board certified (required).
