About the role

Hartford HealthCare (HHC), the most comprehensive, integrated health care system in CT, seeks a full-time General Obstetrician and Gynecologist to join their Minimally Invasive Gynecologic surgery team.

Responsibilities

  • Practice in a collaborative team environment connected through Epic, their fully-integrated EMR system.
  • Provide holistic, quality, and cost-effective advanced practice care for patients, families, and others in a target population.
  • Participate in the medical and surgical treatment for chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, and fibroids to achieve or maintain optimal health status, manage disease, and reduce risk of illness.
  • Engage in independent decision-making regarding the health care of individuals, families, and groups across the lifespan and the health care continuum.
  • Support the MIGS team in performing surgeries at Hartford and Manchester Hospital, and outpatient clinical care in West Hartford, Glastonbury, Southington, and potentially South Windsor locations.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including OB/GYN generalists, specialists in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, MIGS, Urogynecology, Gyn Oncology, Complex Family Planning, and Gender Health, as well as Certified Nurse Midwives, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Genetic Counselors.

Requirements

  • MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Eligible for a Connecticut Medical License.
  • Board certified or active candidate for board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Completed a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) or have extensive experience in MIGS.
  • Fluency in Spanish or other languages besides English is highly desirable but not required.

Qualifications
