About the Role

Geisinger has an exciting opportunity for a fellowship-trained Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon (MIGS) to join the growing Women’s Health Division at Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. This position includes educational, clinical, and scholarly components, with the expectation to develop a formalized MIGS educational experience for residents, enhancing current clinical training. The role also involves teaching and mentoring residents and medical students, with a faculty appointment at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Perform minimally invasive gynecologic procedures, including robotic-assisted surgery and surgical management of endometriosis.
• Oversee and educate residents and medical students.
• Develop and implement a formalized MIGS educational program for residents.
• Engage in scholarly activities and clinical practice within a team of 110 healthcare providers (56 physicians) in Women’s Health.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS).
