OB/GYN Hospitalist (Laborist)
Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, a member of LifeBridge Health, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Hospitalist (Laborist) to join its collaborative academic Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This role includes an academic faculty appointment with George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, providing opportunities to teach medical students and OB/GYN residents.

Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient coverage for Labor & Delivery, OB Triage, and Mother/Baby
- Evaluate and manage obstetric patients requiring hospitalization
- Consult for the Emergency Department and inpatient services
- Evaluate and treat gynecologic emergencies including:
- Miscarriage
- Ectopic pregnancy
- Early pregnancy complications
- Postoperative gynecologic complications
- Manage both low-risk and high-risk labor patients
- Perform:
- Vaginal deliveries
- Operative vaginal deliveries
- Primary and repeat Cesarean deliveries
- Emergency obstetric procedures
- Work predictable 12-hour or 24-hour scheduled shifts
- Teach and supervise OB/GYN residents and medical students
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety and physician satisfaction
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Eligible for Maryland medical licensure
- Passion for academic medicine, resident education, and collaborative patient care
