O46 - FOREMAN - $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS
About the role
This position supervises, assigns, coordinates, and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel according to their skill, experience, and job knowledge. The role is responsible for overseeing and providing mechanical maintenance service for the Powerhouse Plant operations throughout the yard and other O46 critical equipment and calibration.
Responsibilities
- Supervises and trains employees to improve quality and quantity of work performed
- Recommends training to enhance skill and productivity of employees, and assists in development of training procedures
- Breaks broad strategies down to practical action plans and ensures employees are trained to perform these plans
- Responsible for complying with all technical aspects of the job including adherence to all drawings, procedures, etc.
- Supervises qualified trades staff; monitoring job and budget performance for all shifts
- Provides mechanical maintenance on low- and high-pressure air compressors, low- and high-pressure steam boilers, river water plants, city water plants, demineralized water plants and O46 calibration
- Works with the Powerhouse operations foreman in the scheduling and servicing of critical equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree OR Apprentice Certification OR High School and 4 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience OR Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical and 3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade and/or military experience
- Strong communication skills

- Ability to read and understand drawings, technical specifications and equipment manuals
- SAP Plant Maintenance Module experience
- Basic Knowledge of Powerhouse Plant operations

Pay
The anticipated salary range is $92,000.00 to $117,000.00. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors, and may vary from the posted range. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is also offered to Foreman new hires.
Schedule
This is a full-time position on the 1st shift, with no relocation assistance available and no opportunity for telework or travel.
