About the role
This position will be responsible for overseeing a second shift multi-trade crew providing maintenance services for JMAF, UOH, Ship Join Bay and critical equipment/machinery. Strong communication skills with the responsibility of working with production in the scheduling and servicing of critical machinery. Supervises, assigns, coordinates and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel according to their skill, experience and job knowledge. Supervises and trains employees to improve quality and quantity of work performed. Recommends training to enhance skill and productivity of employees, and assists in development of training procedures. Breaks broad strategies down to practical action plans and ensures employees are trained to perform these plans. Responsible for complying with all technical aspects of the job including adherence to all drawings, procedures, etc. Responsible for manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations that have a significant financial impact on the company's performance. Supervises qualified trades staff; monitoring job and budget performance for all shifts.
Responsibilities

- Evaluate the performance of trades personnel based on their skill, experience, and job knowledge.
- Train employees to improve the quality and quantity of work performed.
- Recommend training to enhance the skill and productivity of employees.
- Ensure employees are trained to perform practical action plans.
- Comply with all technical aspects of the job, including adherence to drawings, procedures, etc.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree OR Apprentice Certification OR High School and 4 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience OR Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical and 3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade and/or military experience.
- Understanding of Facilities Maintenance Processes.
- LO/TO Y-1078 lockout/tagout qualified.
- Ability to read schematics.
- SAP Plant Maintenance Module experience.
