O&M Technician
Responsibilities
- Operate the facility during start-up, shutdown, normal and emergency conditions in accordance with operating procedures and instructions to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
- Maintain and trouble-shoot mechanical, electrical and or control systems in a power generation facility.
- Perform/direct housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean safe work environment and professional appearance.
- Work within and ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental procedures.
- Work various shifts and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime and must be able to work holidays.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in power plant operations, mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance or instrument and controls.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Good verbal and written communications skills.
- Willingness and capability to become multi-skilled and be part of a self-directed work team in a team environment.
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred Requirements
- GE Frame 7FA or 7HA experience desired but not required.
Qualifications
This is a safety sensitive position. Individuals receiving conditional offers of employment will be subject to drug testing and must receive a negative result to begin working for the company.
Skills
High school diploma or equivalent, experience in power plant operations, mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance or instrument and controls, computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software, good verbal and written communications skills, willingness and capability to become multi-skilled and be part of a self-directed work team in a team environment, eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
