About the role

NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk will be hosting a Job Fair at NYU Langone Hospital Suffolk - 101 Hospital Rd, Patchogue, NY 11772 - ED Administration Conference Room. Time: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Please bring at least 3 copies of your resume. Representatives from Talent Acquisition and Nursing Management will be present.

Responsibilities

• Nurse Aide: Candidates must have a High School diploma or GED, BLS certification (AHA only), and first aid training. De-escalation training on job. EMT certificate or prior hospital/sub-acute experience or be a nursing student. Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients and their families that demonstrate recognition of cultural diversity. Basic analytical skills in order to gather data, complete comparisons, interpret and report outcomes to the nurse or document on the medical record. Must have excellent customer service and telephone skills. Ability to manage and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Unit Secretary: Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Ability to read and write at a level normally acquired through completion of high school to complete order entry, comprehension of written or verbal instructions, order transcription and medical record maintenance. Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with hospital personnel, medical staff, and patients or family. Basic analytical skills necessary in order to gather and interpret routine data, maintain records, and organize workload. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail to complete required services in accordance with established schedules and deadlines.
• Cardiac Monitor Tech (Telemetry Technician): Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Ability to read and write in order to obtain and record pertinent information in patient charts and to perform noncomplex arithmetic calculations as normally acquired through completion of high school. Knowledge of medical terminology and physical sciences. Basic analytical skills in order to recognize abnormal heart rhythms or artifact in test data and to notify appropriate personnel. Requires a passing grade of 85% on the Dysrhythmia Proficiency Exam.

The salary range for the role is $26.46 - $26.46 Hourly for Nurse Aide, $28.00 - $28.00 Hourly for Unit Secretary, and $25.40 - $25.40 Hourly for Cardiac Monitor Tech (Telemetry Technician). Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
