NYC Shelters- Intake Specialist/Intake Worker

Job Summary

Provide for shift coverage and be on call nights, weekends and holidays. Must be flexible and accept changes to assignment/schedule.

Responsibilities

• Implementing preventive measures through crisis intervention and conflict resolution modalities
• Proper recording and reporting systems for consumer and staff safety
• Prepare incident reports
• Conduct curfew checks
• Conduct building inspections and rounds
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• BA preferred; Associates Degree Required
• Some experience in the field of safety and working with at-risk adults
• Must acquire Fire Safety and Fire Coordinator Certificate, CPR/1st Aid and Crisis Intervention/Conflict Resolution Training and State Certification
• Must possess good writing and communication skills
