NY Facility Needs a Locum Tenens Psychiatrist

About the role

Locum tenens outpatient psychiatry assignment with Weatherby Healthcare. Six-month assignment with option to extend. Outpatient setting serving patients ages 5 through 65+.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with a 1‑hour lunch
• Full‑time only
• On‑call: 1 week every 7 weeks (dependent on provider staffing)

Responsibilities

• See approximately 10 patients per day
• Conduct 1 new consult daily
• Provide outpatient psychiatric care across the age span (5–65+)
• Participate in on‑call coverage as scheduled
• Teach and supervise residents (preferred)

Requirements

• Board‑eligible/board‑certified in Psychiatry
• Experience working in an outpatient psychiatry setting
• Experience teaching or supervising residents preferred
• Active, unrestricted medical license for the assignment state

Pay

Hourly rate range: $185.00 – $220.00 (all‑inclusive, combining base pay with potential overtime, call, and holiday pay). Actual rate depends on critical need, experience, qualifications, and other factors. Contact your consultant for details.
