NX Administrator
About the Role
Divergent is seeking an NX Administrator to join our PLM and NX support organization. This individual will support the administration, configuration, and day-to-day operation of Siemens NX within our Teamcenter/NX Manager environment. The Engineer II will work closely with PLM administrators, engineers, and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot issues, improve system performance, support CAD/CAM users, and help implement new capabilities across our NX environment. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with users, and developing their expertise in NX administration and configuration.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering systems while supporting the tools and processes used to design and manufacture some of the most advanced products in the world.
Responsibilities
- Support the administration and configuration of Siemens NX in a Teamcenter/NX Manager environment.
- Troubleshoot NX issues and provide Level 1 and Level 2 support to CAD and CAM users.
- Investigate and help resolve NX performance and usability issues across engineering and manufacturing organizations.
- Work with PLM administrators to support the integration between NX and Teamcenter.
- Assist with NX upgrades, installations, configurations, and system improvements.
- Help maintain and improve NX part templates and related configuration.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of Standard Parts, Materials, and Tools Libraries.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of Check-Mate checkers using NX Open.
- Support Teamcenter Release Management and Change Management processes within the NX Manager environment.
- Develop training materials and user documentation to help engineers and manufacturing users effectively utilize NX.
- Document NX administrative configurations, procedures, troubleshooting approaches, and user workflows.
- Work with engineers and other stakeholders to understand user needs and identify opportunities to improve the NX environment.
- Collaborate with PLM and application teams to investigate issues and implement solutions.
- Help evaluate new NX capabilities and contribute to recommendations for improving system usability and performance.
Requirements
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to U.S. export controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience working with Siemens NX, CAD administration, engineering applications, or a related technical environment.
- Working knowledge of Siemens NX and its configuration and administration capabilities.
- Familiarity with NX in a Teamcenter/NX Manager environment.
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues for CAD or engineering users.
- Familiarity with CAD and/or CAM processes and workflows.
- Ability to learn and troubleshoot NX performance and configuration issues.
- Familiarity with Teamcenter Release Management and Change Management concepts.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience administering or configuring Siemens NX.
- Experience working with NX in both Teamcenter/NX Manager and standalone environments.
- Experience with NX Part Families, Standard Parts, Materials Libraries, or Tools Libraries.
- Familiarity with NX installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Experience developing technical documentation or end-user training materials.
- Familiarity with NX Open or programming in C++, C#, or Python.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or other engineering environment.

Pay
At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job. For this role, we will consider candidates at levels E04-E05 as evaluated through our interview process.
- Engineer II / E04: $137,740 - $168,340
- Sr. Engineer / E05: $141,380 - $194,390
Pay Range: $137,740 USD - $194,390 USD
