NWCS - Support Care Professional (Coach) (SCP0029)

About the role

Northwest Community Services is recruiting for a Support Care Professional to join a team supporting over 500 employees and 130+ individuals with developmental disabilities through 24/7 residential services.

Responsibilities

• Coach and ensure fidelity in positive behavior supports, crisis management training, person-centered strategies and plans, DMH/NWCS policies and procedures, NWCS core values, etc.
• Increase desired behaviors and interactions from individuals supported and improve their lives.
• Ensure DSPs working directly with individuals perform at a high level and meet all standards of care.
• Improve retention rates of DSPs by providing comprehensive training in a supportive environment.
• Aid DSPs in maintaining compliance with individual support plans, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• GED/High School Diploma preferred

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of coaching/mentor experience

Skills

• Detail-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other computer programs
• Willingness to travel and work a flexible schedule
