About the role
Northwest Community Services is recruiting for a Support Care Professional to join a team supporting over 500 employees and 130+ individuals with developmental disabilities through 24/7 residential services.
Responsibilities
- Coach and ensure fidelity in positive behavior supports, crisis management training, person-centered strategies and plans, DMH/NWCS policies and procedures, NWCS core values, etc.
- Increase desired behaviors and interactions from individuals supported and improve their lives.
- Ensure DSPs working directly with individuals perform at a high level and meet all standards of care.
- Improve retention rates of DSPs by providing comprehensive training in a supportive environment.
- Aid DSPs in maintaining compliance with individual support plans, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- GED/High School Diploma preferred
Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of coaching/mentor experience
Skills
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other computer programs
- Willingness to travel and work a flexible schedule
