AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. The Global Network Delivery organization is looking for a highly motivated Network Deployment Planner to join our growing Planning and Implementation team within AWS Data Center Delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Scope and plan interdependent capacity scaling projects and new network capacity deployments across several data center locations
• Review project forecasts and assure physical infrastructure resources are available for execution
• Work closely with infrastructure supply chain & procurement, network engineering, and technical program managers to plan and deliver customer capacity to local data center installation & deployment technicians
• Ensure adherence to timelines
• Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes with an eye on improvement
• Coordinate design, project timeline/schedule, and construction milestones
• Manage core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
• Work effectively under time pressure

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of project management experience
• 1+ years of relevant discipline work experience
• Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of data center, critical environment, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations experience
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
• Experience working with customers to diagnose a problem and work towards resolution
• Experience working under pressure in a cross-functional organization
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies

Pay

• USA, IN, NEW CARLISLE: $76,900.00 - $134,600.00 USD annually
• USA, VA, Herndon: $76,900.00 - $134,600.00 USD annually
• USA, WA, Seattle: $80,200.00 - $134,600.00 USD annually
• Includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs)
