NW Deployment Edge Lead I, DCC Communities

Responsibilities
- Installation and configuration of routers, switches and DWDM hardware.
- Troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling, network installations and configuration.
- Coordinating colocation remote hands for new capacity installations.
- Coordinating colocation remote hands and eyes for any network issues.
- Resolving colocation facility issues.
- Identify, coordinate, and remediate outside plant (OSP) connectivity issues.
- Participating in small to mid-size projects creating or expanding colocation sites.
- Building relationships with remote facilities to ensure swift response times to events.
- Performing site audits to ensure safety and quality meets AWS standards.
- Improving all operational processes within each site and/or cage.
- Updating AWS tools.
- Providing status updates to stakeholders via internal tools.
- Decommissioning of cabling and network hardware in collaboration with partner teams as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 2+ years of Linux troubleshooting, such as, firmware flashes, and bios configuration experience, or experience in networking
- 2+ years of in data center or critical environment in Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, or Data Center Operations experience, or experience with fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment & troubleshooting methodologies
- Experience in server technologies such as, thermal, mechanical, power, and signal integrity
- Knowledge of Linux or Unix systems administration
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or experience with fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment & troubleshooting methodologies
- Experience with TCP/ICP networking fundamentals and application of IP protocols such as: DNS, DHCP, NTP, SMTP, and SNMP
- 4+ years of data center engineering or operations, or 4+ years of relevant discipline work experience

Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
Schedule
Most of the work is performed remotely, but there may be some travel required, including international travel.
