About the role
NVIDIA offers 12-week full-time internships where students work on projects that have a measurable impact on the business. Interns collaborate with industry-leading Hardware teams to tackle challenges in AI, digital twins, gaming, robotics, self-driving cars, healthcare, climate change, and virtual worlds. Internships are available in several hardware engineering fields:
- System Validation: Responsible for system validation and post-production activities for datacenter server products (e.g., HGX baseboards, DGX Servers, DGX Workstations). Maintain close relationships with Architecture, Hardware, and Software Design teams to ensure rigorous testing and debugging of new features.
- Hardware Design: Work with a multi-disciplinary team on hands-on hardware testing, debugging, and validation of new products to meet performance, functional, and quality objectives.
- Mechanical Engineering: Part of a multi-functional team researching and developing new concepts and materials for next-generation products. Requires strong interpersonal skills and a background in Mechanical Engineering.
- Silicon Solutions: Productize NVIDIA’s chips into consumer, professional, server, mobile, and automotive solutions.
Requirements
- Actively enrolled in a university pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field for the full duration of the internship.
- Anticipated graduation date (month and year) must be clearly indicated on a resume or CV.
- Depending on the role, prior experience or knowledge may include:
- Programming skills: Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL, Perl, Python, TCL.
- Board-Level Design, PCB, Datacenter Systems, Linux.
- CAD Software (e.g., Solidworks, ProE, Creo, Catia, Unigraphics).
- MATLAB, MOSFETs, Lab Tools (Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Logic Analyzer).
Pay
Hourly rates for interns range from $20 USD to $71 USD, based on position, location, year in school, degree, and experience.
