About the Role
The NVH Engineer at Brembo uniquely splits time between the virtual world of CAE modeling and the empirical reality of physical testing, modeling, analyzing, and supporting the product development of automotive brake systems to meet NVH performance targets.
Responsibilities
- Perform NVH analysis for automotive brake systems.
- Create CAE models for brake squeal.
- Perform complex eigenvalue analysis (CEA) of brake systems to reduce brake squeal propensity.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis of real and complex eigenvalues to determine critical design parameters for brake squeal.
- Lead NVH corner and chassis development for all customers.
- Oversee NVH testing activities at dynamometer level, both internal and outsourced.
- Perform advanced measurements such as FRF, Modal Analysis, pressure distribution analysis, ultrasound friction measurements, and 3D ODS analysis.
- Correlate CAE analysis and testing to identify potential design optimizations.
- Recommend solutions to structural and NVH development issues based on CAE and testing correlation.
