About the role

The Clinical Coordinator/Residential Coordinator (CC/RC) oversees all clinical services and the daily operations of the residential facilities. They supervise DSP/BSP staff, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise DSP/BSP staff and ensure they complete their duties and responsibilities.
• Manage the budgeted and approved staffing hours for the home.
• Work shifts if DSP/BSP staff are unavailable.
• Maintain the physical structure of the group home, including cleanliness and maintenance.
• Run doctor appointments and ensure individuals attend all necessary health care appointments.
• Work hand in hand with Clinical Coordinators to ensure licensing and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct fire drills, safety drills, and grocery shop for the home.
• Interact with family members, support coordinators, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor staff to ensure they follow each person's plans as intended.
• Provide direct support to individuals as needed.
• Facilitate monthly staff meetings and provide support to meet quality of life issues.
• Manage and act as petty cash custodian for all client and house funds.
• Ensure the public image of the program in the community.
• Perform crisis intervention and provide emergency counseling assistance.
• Transport individuals to appointments and community rehabilitation programs.
• Ensure program compliance with Volunteers of America Chesapeake’s policies and procedures.
• Carry a cell phone 24/7 to respond to emergencies.

Requirements

• High School diploma with at least 5 years of experience in intellectual or developmental disabilities; or an Associate’s degree with at least 2 years of experience; or a Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• A successful candidate must maintain certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Must be able to work a 40-hour weekly flexible schedule.
• Ability to be on-call 24 hours a day, work flexible shifts, and maintain expected standards of work production.
• Participate in weekend on-call rotation.
• Attend training activities, meetings, and routine supervision with the supervisor.

Qualifications
