Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary HR partner for employees and managers.
  • Provide guidance on workplace concerns, employee relations matters, performance management, and policy interpretation.
  • Conduct and support employee investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action processes.
  • Partner with leaders to address performance concerns and promote employee engagement.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states.
  • Aid in HR audits, reporting, and HRIS administration.
  • Identify risks and escalate complex employee relations matters when appropriate.

Benefits & Employee Support

  • Assist employees with questions regarding benefits, leave administration, policies, and HR programs.
  • Support benefits enrollment and employee education initiatives.
  • Partner with HR leadership on leave of absence and accommodation processes.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, workflows, and employee experience.
  • Support initiatives that increase efficiency, consistency, and organizational effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Recruiting, Payroll, and Operational Leadership to support workforce initiatives.
  • Afford assistance with onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle activities.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Experience supporting employee relations, performance management, and workplace investigations.
  • Strong understanding of employment law fundamentals and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to build trust and credibility with employees and leaders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.

Preferred Experience

  • In healthcare, behavioral health, long-term care, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting multi-state workforces.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) is a plus.
