About the role
As a Team Member, you'll play a vital part in ensuring our patients' dining needs are met with care and excellence. Your daily responsibilities will include assisting with food preparation and service, maintaining clean and sanitary conditions, and delivering outstanding service that brightens every mealtime.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and service
- Maintain clean and sanitary conditions
- Perform repetitive tasks daily
- Follow oral and/or written instructions
- Use sanitation procedures and safe chemical handling daily
- Work cooperatively with all partners in Food & Nutrition Services and other departments
- Fulfill position responsibilities and adhere to scheduled shifts
- Obtain a Food Handlers Certificate or Sanitation Course if required by state regulations
Requirements
- Sincere interest in foodservice and working with geriatric and other healthcare patients
- Willingness to learn correct sanitation procedures
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to speak and understand English; reading skills may be required
- Ability to read and understand labels on chemicals and MSDS sheets
- Good mental and physical condition
- Ability to work under supervision
- Healthcare food service experience preferred but not required
