Essential Functions

  • Develop, communicate, and uphold organizational procedures and policies, ensuring staff are properly trained and compliant with established standards.
  • Oversees and delivers comprehensive training for all new hires in the Nutrition Services Department, ensuring proficiency in diet standards, food safety protocols, patient-focused service, and department workflows which include: Call Center, Trayline, Tray Delivery, Dish Room and Nourishments
  • Will be trained and prepared to assist as department lead as needed, providing oversight and support to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Answering patient, team member, nursing, and visitor inquiries
  • Reallocating team members during staffing shortages
  • Professionally and appropriately addressing team members and handling high volume food service environment.
  • Consistently communicates clearly and collaborates closely with staff, peers, and leadership to promote transparency, teamwork, and operational efficiency.
  • Proactively shares information, supports problem-solving, and contributes to a culture of trust, respect, and continuous improvement.
  • Must be able to complete supplementary duties as directed by management, including tasks not explicitly listed

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • A High School Diploma or equivalent
    • 6 months of relevant experience food service, preferably in health care setting or related field
    • CRT-Accredited Food Protection Manager, CFP - ANSI National Accreditation Board
    • ANSI National Accreditation Board 90 Days Preferred
    • Associate's degree Hospitality or Nutrition
    • 6 months of relevant experience
  • Preferred:
    • Associate's degree Hospitality or Nutrition
    • 6 months of relevant experience
    • Leadership
