About the role

This position involves transporting prepared food items and supplies from the preparation high school to designated school sites in Nutrition Services' vehicle. Duties also include loading, unloading, and setting up prepared food items and supplies, as well as serving and/or cashiering as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and interact with students, school staff, and department personnel in a courteous and caring manner using good customer service skills.
• Load and transport prepared food items and supplies from the preparation high school to designated school sites in Nutrition Services' vehicle.
• Distribute food items and supplies to school site food personnel, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation requirements and HACCP standards.
• Assist with food preparation and serving functions at receiving schools by setting up food lines as directed.
• Perform other deliveries, pick-ups, and transport items as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all equipment, including the truck used in the transport of food items.
• Maintain routine records related to deliveries and assigned activities.
• Perform related duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager to meet the particular needs of the building/unit.

• Strength and Stamina: Capability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to fifty (50) pounds or more.
• Outdoor Work: Tolerance of work outside in various weather conditions.
• Working Conditions: School-based assignments with possible travel between buildings. Frequent interactions with students with significant behavioral needs. May involve supporting students in crisis situations in accordance with FWCS guidelines.
