About the Role
The WBLAS Nutrition Services Department is seeking positive, energetic individuals who love children, are flexible, good team players, and willing to learn new skills in a fun and fast-paced environment. No experience is needed!
Schedule
3.75 hours per day, approximately 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM, on school days only.
Pay
Starting at $20.78 per hour. Additional pay increases:
- $0.80 per hour with School Nutrition Association Level 3 Certification
- $1.05 per hour with School Nutrition Association Level 4 Certification
Location
White Bear Lake Area High School (grades 9–12), a newly renovated facility.
Start date: As soon as possible.

Mission

Responsibilities
- Work in a fast-paced environment to prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to the menu
- Stock vending machines
- Set up serving lines, condiments, and utensils
- Serve students and operate the point-of-sale register during meal service
- Clean and maintain the kitchen, including operating the dish machine
- Demonstrate excellent customer service to students, staff, parents, visitors, and the public
- May float to other district locations on a case-by-case basis to assist with staff coverage
- Perform other assigned duties
Food Safety
The Nutrition Services team prioritizes high standards, attention to detail, and the health and well-being of students. Food safety is the top priority, ensuring every meal is served safely, wholesomely, and with care.
- All employees must complete a sanitation course upon hire and at least every three years
- Uniform guidelines include:
- No jewelry or fake eyelashes
- No false nails or nail polish
- Non-slip, leather shoes
- Black pants (no denim or leggings)
