Promotional opportunity restricted to probationary and permanent employees of the district and former employees on a valid reemployment list who meet the qualifications of the class.
About the role
Food Service Assistant positions available in the Antioch Unified School District. This is a 10-month position (180 student days only) with a daily schedule of 3.5 to 5.5 hours per day.
Pay
CSEA Salary Range 115:
- Step A: $21.46/hour
- Step B: $22.54/hour
- Step C: $23.69/hour
- Step D: $24.88/hour
- Step E: $26.14/hour
- Step F: $27.47/hour
Schedule
10-month work year (180 days – student days only), 3.5 to 5.5 hours per day.
Requirements
Any combination equivalent to:
- Sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities
- One year of experience in the preparation and serving of food in large quantities
Selection process
The selection process will consist of:
- Application screening for completeness and qualifications
- Written exam (weighted 40%)
- Oral panel interview exam (weighted 60%)
A passing score must be achieved on all exams to be placed on the eligibility list. Final selections will be made from the three highest accepting ranks off the eligibility list.
